Meet Lois Snyder- Buyer Extraordinaire

Q: Where are you from? Share a little of your background…
A: I am from Long Island, New York
I knew I wanted to pursue fashion after graduating high school, however, I did not go the traditional route of attaining a college degree, I wanted hands on experience that would expose me to everything from buying, merchandising, design and marketing.
Q: How did you become a fashion buyer; education, experience?
A: After working at the top buying office in Manhattan I went on to buy clothing, shoes and accessories for multiple privately owned boutiques.
I was 8 years into that when I realized my passion was to design and start my own line. Spending time in retail opened my eyes to the void in women’s clothing. Everything was either too trendy, too expensive, poor quality and just not geared towards the lifestyle of what todays customer wanted..Fashion that was on trend at a great price point and great quality was what my label offered.

Q: Revival Boutiques offers a variety of contemporary clothing lines that make women look and feel beautiful, what strategies do you use to discover these amazing product lines?
A: Our customer is a fashion conscious women who knows her brands and what she wants. Going to trade shows and always looking for the next great line is what keeps Revival fresh and current. I always stay on trend but pay close attention to simple design and easy fit. I think this is key. I never like to see a frustrated customer due to unrealistic styling.
Q: What’s your favorite part of working at Revival Boutiques?
A: My favorite part about working at Revival is seeing our customers happy with what they have purchased and coming back for more, whether it is a quick pick me up or a wardrobe update.
We have developed a clientele where customers have become friends. I love that the atmosphere we have created has made it a a go to store for friends and families to meet up and enjoy an afternoon of shopping, That is the real pulse of Revival!!
